Special Awards Classes

Judged by Mrs Sue Bird

24 ENTRIES

I was honoured to be asked to judge these special award classes and the personalised gift is beautiful, thank you.

There were some really lovely dogs here but sadly a couple hit the drains under the carpet on initial go round which then meant they were not quite so settled when asked to move individually.

SPECIAL AWARD JUNIOR DOG / BITCH (8,3A)

1. Lacsar Don’t Nutella Soul

16 month old Red Sesame, nice blunt wedge shaped head with broad flat skull, defined stop, obliquely set almond eyes, small triangular erect ears, muscular neck on moderately sloping shoulders, elbows fitting close to chest, firm topline with strong loin and moderate tuck up, high set tail, well-muscled hindquarters, parallel going away and on return with free energetic movement, harsh coat.

2. Vormund Ezo No Shogun

10 month old Black and Tan, feminine wedge shaped head, nice width of skull, well developed cheeks, dark obliquely set eyes, small, pricked ears, good length of neck, well developed shoulders, good spring of rib with firm back beautiful tail set and carriage, well developed thigh muscles, harsh coat, just not quite reach of 1st

3. Vormund McQueen

just 6 months and her first show, once she relaxed was lovely balanced puppy, feminine head, good length of neck and shoulders in correct place for age, moderate length of back with well-developed hindquarters. Moved steadily once settled. Will watch her develop with interest.

3.5 year old Black and Tan bitch, feminine head with soft expression, dark obliquely set eyes, thick neck on well-placed shoulders, chest broad and deep, back firm with short strong loin, tightly curled tail, with good rear angulation, tight feet, brisk on move, just not the drive of 1st

SPECIAL AWARD OPEN DOG / BITCH (11, 6A)

1. Hagoromo No Aika Go Ezonohisho Vormund (Imp Jpn)

Coming up 4, Red Sesame bitch, lovely balanced profile that really shows her overall shape, feminine blunt wedge shaped head with broad flat skull, well developed cheeks, small obliquely set dark eyes, neat pricked ears, muscular neck, moderately sloping shoulders, front legs straight with well knuckled feet, rib well sprung, loin strong with moderate tuck up, with well-muscled hindquarters with firm hocks, super tail set and carriage, on the move she was quick, energetic and covered the ground, her easy movement won her this class and in lovely coat condition.
